82, husband of Evalyn McDonald Abnee, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at his home.
Born May 10, 1927 in Nicholas Co., he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a retired farmer, a retired employee of Weaver Manufacturing and was a member of Lloyd George Post 8666 VFW
Other survivors include 2 sons, Frankie & Ronnie Abnee, Carlisle, 2 daughters, Laura Boone & Tina Abnee, Carlisle, 3 brothers, Jerry & Joe Linville, Carlisle and William Linville, TN, 4 grandchildren, Angel Lutes, Josh Abnee, Jenna Abnee & Jessica Boone, and 6 great-grandchildren, Kain Abnee, Tristan, Alyssa & Andrew Watkins, Peyton Boone and Parker Bennett.
He was also preceded in death by his mother, Nannie Price Linville, a brother Carl Abnee and 2 sisters Agnes Abnee and Naomi Linville.
Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Mathers-Gaunce F.H. by Rev. James Gaunce. Burial with military honors will follow in Barterville Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
