Don L. Kerr, widely known Liberty township farmer, died at his home this (Thursday) morning following an illness of several months. He was 69. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Nov. 9, at 2:30 p. m. from Liberty Methodist Church with interment at the Liberty cemetery. The Webster Funeral Home will be in charge.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Lela Nine; a brother, Fred Kerr of Canton, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Troy Stansbury, Canton, Okla., and Mrs. Bessie Mitchell, Los Angeles, Calif.; and three granddaughters, Francelia, Mary Alice, and Sharon. His wife preceded him in death six years ago. He also was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Bertie and a half brother, Harley.

Kerr was a member of the Clarke county AAA committee and a former member of the county board of supervisors, He was a lifelong resident of this county, having lived all his life on the farm where he was born in Liberty township.

He has always been active in public affairs. He was county supervisor for six years and one of the first county members of the farm program. He has served either on township or county committees since that time.
