BALLINGER Frances Mae Hoelscher Wood, 76, of Eden, Texas, died Thursday March 30, 2006, at her residence.

Rosary service will be at 6 p.m. Sunday, April 2, in Lange Funeral Home chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 3, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ballinger with the Rev. Hugh Wade and the Rev. Ramana con-celebrating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Frances was born on Jan. 22, 1930, in Eden, to Benjamin Frank and Lola Mae Kruse Jacoby. She married Marvin Hoelscher on Nov. 5, 1951, in Eden. He preceded her in death on Aug. 2, 1995. She married Gail Wood on June 10, 1999, in Eden. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Ballinger and a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Eden. Mae was a loving mother and wife.

She worked at Dry Manufacturing in Winters for many years. Mae loved the outdoors and loved anything that grew. She was always planting flowers, trees and gardens. She never let her children, grandchildren or neighbors leave without an armful of vegetables or home-cooked food. Mae loved her faithful little dogs, who were always by her side.

Survivors include her husband, Gail Wood of Eden; son Benny Hoelscher and wife Odessa of Eden; daughters Belinda Felihkatubbe and husband Glen of Grape Creek, Lola Quirino and husband Ernest of Ballinger, Karen Richey and husband Alan of Bronte, and Sharon Bredemeyer and husband Malcolm of Winters. Twin sister Fae Kohutek; brothers H.W., Rector, Chester, Johnny and Dan Jacoby; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren also survive her.
