Ethel Laverne Fenton age 89, went home to Heaven go be with her Savior on July 27, 2010 at Nye Legacy Nursing and Rehab in Fremont, Nebraska. She was born the daughter of Pearl and Clara King on September 6, 1920 at their home southwest of Bussey, Iowa. She attended Pleasant Hill Schools. She was saved at the age of 16.

On July 28, 1941 she was united in marriage to Dwight Fenton. From that union they were blessed with 3 children, Patricia, Sandra, and Earl. Together they lived in Iowa all of their lives while wintering in Arizona for several years, till their move to Freemont, Nebraska a few years ago. Her family and church were a very inportant part of her life. She was a stay at home wife and mother and worked very hard to care for her husband and family. She was very loving, caring and hospitable to her family and friends. Ethel always had a smile and was glad to see you.

Ethel is preceded in death by: her husband, Dwight Fenton on July 25, 2006; her parents; brothers, Floyd, Ernest, Woodrow, Clifton, Orville, Kenneth, and Virgil; sisters, Clara, Florence, and Vera; and one great grandson Wyatt Voth.

She is survived by: son; Earl and his wife, Deborah Fenton of Mystic, Iowa; daughters, Patricia and her husband, Del King of Urbandale, Iowa and Sandra and her husband, Ron Marshall of Fremont, Nebraska; grandchildren, Adam, Rebekah, Abram, Stephanie, Alex, Aaron, Abigail, and Angel Marshall. Tavis, Monica, Ryan, Danielle, Erin and Kari King, Brandy and Kreg Bauger, and Ben Voth.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2010 at 10am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with pastor Bob Reagan officiating. Burial will follow in Brushy Cemetery near Plano, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010 from 1-8pm with the family present from 6-8pm at the funeral home. A memorial service has been established to the family.
