Harry W. "Pete" Bailey, Jr., 70, of Marysville, passed away Wednesday, July 28th, 2010 at his home.
Mr. Bailey was born in Marysville, on December 11, 1939, the son of the late Harry W. and Estella B. (Eichelberger) Bailey, Sr.
He was a retired mechanic at Hempt Brothers, Camp Hill.
A member of Marysville Church of God. Where he was a former Deacon, Member of the Church Council and taught Sunday School for 35 years. He was a Life Member of the Marysville Fire Co. Member of the Marysville Sportsmans Assoc.; Marysville Ambulance Assoc.; Senior Life of the Enola Church of God; Knights of Pythias, Marysville; Several bowling leagues at Trindle Bowl. For many years Pete served the Marysville Community on the Marysville Ambulance.
The widower of Ruth M. (Wagner) Bailey.
Surviving are: Son: Charles F. Bailey, Archbald, PA, Daughters: Gloria J. Leyder, Mechanicsburg, Ellen L. Martin, Harrisburg, Betty Jane Silvis, Millersburg, Friend and companion: Judy Dickinson, Marysville, Sisters: Mildred Pierce, Enola, Mary Bailey, Enola, Elsie Kile, Steelton, Linda Jones, Enola. Brothers: John Bailey, Lisburn, Walter Bailey, Spring Grove, Richard Bailey, Marysville. Also 12 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a Son: Mark Bailey and a Daughter: Cindy Mewis; Also a Sister: Marie Tully and a Brother: Gary Bailey.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, July 31, 2010 in The Enola First Church of God, 9 Sherwood Circle, Enola, with Pastor James R. Klock officiating.
Viewing will be held from 10:00 A.M. until Noon on Saturday in the church.
Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Michael J. Shalonis Funeral Home, Marysville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Marysville Church of God, 106 Maple Avenue, Marysville, PA 17053 or Enola First Church of God, 9 Sherwood Circle, Enola, PA 17025 or Glenvale Church of God, 1970 New Valley Road, Marysville, PA 17053 or Hospice of Central PA., 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110
