Marcene J. Carroll, 75, of 1033 Garfield Ave., Beloit, Wis., died Sunday, Dec. 29, 1996 in St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford, Ill.
She was born Apr. 14, 1921, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Phillip and Lucille Grezka Baldocchi. Marcene married Joseph E. Carroll on Aug. 19, 1944, in St. Jude Catholic Church, Beloit. He predeceased her on Mar. 23, 1995.
Marcene was a homemaker and a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.
Survivors include her son, Dennis "Daniel" Carroll (Barb Dascher) of Beloit; her daughter, Lana Lynn (Thomas) Ahlquist of Loves Park, Ill.; six grandchildren, Denny (Teresa) Carroll and Kim Carroll of Rockford, Ill., Chris (Justin) Carroll of South Beloit, Mary (Mark) Shaw of Loves Park, Ill., Marcey (Matt) Diwo of Rockford, Ill., and Phillip (Jill) Ahlquist of Norfolk, Va.; nine great-grandchildren, Lauren May, Allyssa and Matthew Carroll of Rockford, Francis and Ryan Shaw of Loves Park, Megan and Michael Diwo of Rockford, and Christian and Nicholas Ahlqust of Norfolk, Va.; nieces and nephews.
Prayer services will be 9:45 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 1997 in the Daley, Murphy, Wisch and Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, followed by a funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Jude Catholic Church, Beloit, with Father Bill Connell officiating. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home, with a Scripture service at 4 p.m.
