The fifth of nine children born to George Gancer & Mary (French) Snider of VA and TN, late of Brown Co IN, Elizabeth was what today would be considered, a common-law wife of William Snider, son of Hermann G Schneider [Herman Snider] of Germany & his wife Elizabeth Bowman of Somerset Co PA, both later of Spencer Co KY.
They were together almost 40 years and had ten known children, seven sons and three daughters.
