Mrs. Ed Abbott
MOORELAND - Mrs. Nellie J. Abbott, 75 years old, widow of Ed Abbott and a lifelong resident of the Mooreland community, died Tuesday evening Feb. 7, 1961. She had been a resident of the Resthaven nursing home in New Castle. Death came after a long illness. She was a member of the local Friends church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert Boyer (Edna) and Mrs. Floyd Robbins (Bertha May) both of Anderson; two sons, Wilbur and Henry Abbott of near Mooreland; 18 grand-children, and 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Urias Paul (Fanny) of Mooreland; two brothers, Harve Brown of Mooreland and Edgar Brown of Knightstown and nieces and nephews.
Services for Mrs. Abbott will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Friends church at Mooreland. Rev. Alvin Thomas and Rev. Wilmer Beeson will officiate. Burial will be in the Chicago Corner cemetery. Friends may call at the Main and Sons funeral home in Mooreland.
