Audrey Outlaw Cartwright, 65, of 166 Augusta Drive, Grandy, NC died Friday, July 23, 2010 at her residence. Born in Currituck County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Julian Harold and Fannie Mae Sears Outlaw and was the wife of the late Nathan Cartwright, Jr. She was a retired food service worker with the Currituck County Schools and a retired beautician. >
Mrs. Cartwright is survived by her daughter, Brenda Cartwright Horton and husband William of Grandy, NC; grandson, Ryan Scott Horton; a dear sister-in-law, Elsie Outlaw; her great nephew, Jerrod Thomas Outlaw; loving niece, Angie E. Outlaw; special friends, Judy Cherry and Vivian Neal; and a host of close family and friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Ervin Thomas Cartwright; brothers, Phillip Thomas Outlaw and Julian Leslie Outlaw; and her beloved nephew, Alan Thomas Outlaw. >
Graveside funeral service Monday, July 26, 2010 at Poplar Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with Ronnie Midgett officiating. Twiford Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC is assisting the Cartwright family.
