Robert Baxter Boak's father, Edward Boak, was known as "Frenchy" because he was born at St. Helen's, Jersey, in the Channel Islands (May 12, 1830.) Edward was a 40-year station agent for the Nova Scotia Railroad. He died at Halifax June 29, 1913. Wife Anna Conroy was born June 1829 at Mt. Mellick, Queen's County, Ireland and died at Halifax May 31 1908. They are both buried at Camp Hill Cemetery in Halifax. ]
