Mable was born in Missouri to Charles C and Clara Taylor Anderson on March 28, 1902, and came to Colorado with her parents in 1910.
Clarence the son of Sherman and Lillian Mason Jones, was born at his grandmother Mason's in east Wray, September 28, 1896. He went to school in the Star school in the Cuney neighborhood after his folks moved to a place a mile south of Charley Anderson's. Clarence had three brothers, Earl, Elmer and James and four sisters, Rolla, Maud Mable and Ella.
Mable and Clarence were married December 12, 1920, and bought the farm where they lived until Clarence's death.
They had one son, Evan Earl, who grew up on the farm, attended Wray schools and C.S.U. at Fort Collins. He earned his Master's and Doctor's Degrees at the University of Illinois, in biochemistry and animal colonce. He has done past doctor's work at Rutgers. He lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he is a professor at the University of North Carolina. He married Verleen Blackwill, daugter of Harry and Verna Blackwill, long-time teachers in the county schools.
Clarence was a director on the Consumer's Cooperative board for twenty-seven years. He also served on the board of the Farmers Equity Elevator and then the Farmers Union Cooperative Elevator. He was on the Selective Service Board for twenty years, and the ASCS committe for ten years. He served in WWI and was a member of the "Last Squad" and a life member of the American Legion.
Mable was mostly a housewife, but she was a Rebekah of which she was a Past Noble Grand and received the Decoration of Chivalry. She received her 50-year pin in
1969 and is still a member. She is also a member of the Legion Auxiliary. She cooked the Rotary Club dinnrs for six years, and was a member of the Star Neighborhood Club and the Home Demonstration in the 1980's.
Clarence and mable celebrated their Golden Wedding at the City Hall in 1970. Clarence died September 15, 1977. At present Mable is living at the Lark Bunting and looking after the Farm.
