The son of the late William Henry Conover and Sarah Elizabeth Stapp Conover, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Belle Conover, a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Grider, and a son, Laverne Conover, all of Russell Springs; three sisters, Mrs. Cora Bailey, Ida Conover, and Alice Conover, all of Adair County; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, and several neices, nephews, and other relatives.
He was a member of the White Oak Baptist Church. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, March 16, at Rippetoe Funeral Home in Russell County with burial in Conover Cemetery in Adair County. Services were conducted by the Rev. Oval Smith with his grandsons acting as pallbearers.
