Died July 15, 2010 in Santa Rosa. Born in St. Louis, Missouri on June 19, 1919. He is survived by wife, June Withington of Santa Rosa; his children: Darlene Lockard of N.C., Diane Woodford of N.C., Richard Withington of Santa Rosa and Robert Withington of Lekkerkirk, Holland; grand children: Jessica Vitale of Maryland, David Lockard of N.J., Soledad Bourdo of N.C., Brian Allen of N.C., Takoda Withington of Santa Rosa, Priscilla Withington and Ashley Withington of Lekkerkirk, Holland; and five great grandchildren. Col. Withington graduated from Washington University St. Louis in 1941, entered military service October 2, 1941. He retired from the U.S. Army as full Col., November 1, 1968 and retired from the Redwood Credit Union in Santa Rosa as a loan officer in 1984. At Buzz's request, private burial services were held at Santa Rosa Memorial Park, Tuesday, July 20, 2010. In memory of Col. G.B.
