UXBRIDGE-- Alice M. (Urban) Heeps, 73, of 99 East
Hartford Ave., died Saturday, June 30, at home after a
long illness.
Her husband, Leo H. Heeps Jr., died in 1996. two brothers, Norbert and Justin Urban of
Kansas; five sisters, Bernita Clair, Edna Giebler, Luceda
Hager, Doris Armstrong, and Charlene Kreutzer, all of
Kansas; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and
many nieces and nephews. A brother, Gilbert Urban of
Kansas, died in 1931. A grandson also predeceased her.
She was born in Loretta, Kansas, daughter of Wendelin
and Rosemary (Leiker) Urban, moved to Webster in 1945,
and then to Uxbridge in 1996.
Mrs. Heeps worked many years at the former Anglo
Fabrics Co., Webster, retiring in 1990.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday,
July 3, in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There
are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations
may be made to VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas St.,
Worcester, MA 01608. The Robert J. Miller Funeral Home
and Lake Chapel, 366 School St., Webster, is directing
arrangements.
