Nora Mae Armstrong, 88, the daughter of Alva and Susan (Perry)
Mefford, was born May 3, 1914, at Guide Rock. She died Sunday at the Good Samaritan Center, Superior.

She obtained her education at Garfield School District 36. She married Willis Armstrong June 8, 1933, at Red Cloud. She played the piano and accordion and had a talent for yodeling. She had been a member of the First Baptist Church, Superior.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

Survivors include her husband, Willis Armstrong, Superior; daughters, Sheila Korb, Superior; Dorthy Young, Hastings and Phyllis Vann, Canby, Ore.; and a son, Roger Armstrong, Fairfield; 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Services were Wednesday at the Williams Funeral Home Chapel in
Superior. The Rev. Leslie Warner officiated. Interment was in the Guide Rock Cemetery.
