MRS. BERNICE {PUTMAN} NAPIER

Mrs. Bernice {Putman} Napier, 89, of Tuskahoma, Oklahoma passed away July 17, 2010 at her residence. She was born in Mannsville, Oklahoma on December 19, 1920, the daughter of the late Fred and Tressie {McAlpin} Putman. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, wife and friend. Bernice is survived by son Manuel and Iva Ayres Howard of Tuskahoma, Oklahoma; step-daughter Peggy Bagley of Medford, Oregon; step-sons Rod Napier of Corvallis, Oregon; Ted Napier of Sisters, Oregon; sisters Joyce Leppek of Bay City, Michigan; Audrey Overfield of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sister-in-laws Jeanette Peck of Hydro, Oklahoma; Ted Putman of Carlsbad, New Mexico; many step-grandchildren, many step-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Paul Howard and her second husband Hank Napier, brothers: George Putman, Charles Putman, Francis Putman, and Freddy Putman, and her sister Ola Mae Sims. A Memorial Service was held at First Baptist Church, Tuskahoma, Oklahoma, on July 21, 2010. Chris Rogers officiated. Arrangements were entrusted to Clayton Funeral Home in Clayton, Oklahoma.
