Graveside services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, at Charity Cemetery. Burial is under the direction of Montgomery-Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Memorials may be made to the Charity Christian Church.

Ruby Atteberry was born Sept. 19, 1915, to Alve and Ottie Webb. She died July 25, 2008, at Manor at Elfindale in Springfield.

She attended school in Pleasant Hope, where she played on the girls basketball team.

After high school, she attended Draughon Business School in Springfield.

She married the love of her life, Henry (Hank) Atteberry, in 1938.

After the end of World War II, they moved to Dallas, Texas, where she was employed by Federal Mogul until her retirement.

She was a member and loyal greeter for the Lakeview Christian Church in Dallas for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hank; three sisters: Colene Hawkins, Edna McCarty and Helen Jones; her brothers-in-law; and one sister-in-law.
