DEATH OF A NOBLE YOUNG MAN

Clarence Gardner, 30 years of age, died early Saturday morning at the home of his father, Mr. Roe Gardner, near Hyndsver, after a short illness. The remains were interred on Sunday at Oak Hill, where appropriate services were held. Clarence came home last Tuesday from Detroit, Mich,, where he had been at work for some time. He was sick upon his arrival home and had been sick for a month before coming home. All that loving hands could do was done to restore him, but to no avail. Clarence was a most exemplary young man. He was moral, upright and industrious one of the most devoted and most considerate boys of his mother in the neighborhood. Three brothers and one sister are left to share the grief and sorrow of the mother and father and many bereaved friends.

Dresden enterprise and Sharon tribune. (Dresden, Tenn.) 1907-1997, November 16, 1917, page 1. Submitted by Michael J. Rea, #47214779.
