A Mass of Christian burial was held at noon today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano for Henrietta Galliano Esponge, 91, a native of Galliano and resident of Grand Isle, who died at 8:35 a.m. June 3, 2000.
Burial was at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
She was the mother of Noles, Dorcelie Jr. and Norris Esponge; and sister of Moies and Juan Galliano and Rose Terrebonne. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dorcelie Esponge Sr.; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Antoine Galliano; brothers, Paris, Salvadore, Orris and Antoine Galliano; and sisters, Antoinia, Rosa and Otesia Galliano, Vivian and Daisy Autin and Oresia Kieff.
