Private First Class Fred Locandro,died of wounds received during battle near Arraye-et-Han, France.

A member of the Armored Infantry Battalion, he was inducted into the service 08 Jan 1944, and was first stationed at Camp Wheeler, Mississippi. He was sent overseas in July, transferring from England to France.

He graduated from Collinsville Township High School in 1938 and is survived by his wife Ella, son Dennis, his parents, one sister and six brothers.
