A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. today at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow for Liska Cheramie Callais, 78, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano, who died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22.1993
Burial was in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
She was the mother of Gail Faulk; sister of Morris Cheramie and Sedonia Pitre. She is also survived by two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ules Callais; parents, Olucien and Blanch Pitre Cheramie; five brothers, Alex, Oris, Alces, Benton and Levy Cheramie; and two sisters, Julia Williams and Angelle Gaspard.
