John Edward Adlington, 73, of 451 W. Detweiller Drive for 30 years, died at 12:26 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2005, in Blessing Hospital emergency room in Quincy.
Born May 19, 1931, in Petersburg to George W. and Lillian C. Hardwick Adlington, he married Mary Jean Cleary on Dec. 26, 1959, in El Paso. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Christopher (and Ann) of Blue Island, Timothy (and Lisa) of Brimfield and Patrick (and Deborah) of Peoria; nine grandchildren; and one sister, Georgia (and Floyd) Koke of Havana.
A Korean War Navy veteran, he served from 1953 to 1957.
