Prior to his death, Skyler already had two referrals to Oklahoma's Department of Human Services regarding abuse.

On March 27th, 2008 OKDHS received the third referral regarding Skyler on this date at 8:40am.
The reporter alleged that Skyler had been admitted to a hospital with multiple massive bi-lateral hemorrhages, was on a ventilator and it was unknown if he would make it.

Skyler slipped away on March 28th, 2008 from Blunt Force Trauma to the Head.
His father's girlfriend has been charged. Police believe that the girlfriend (who had been home alone with Skyler)caused the injury to Skyler by slamming his head into an object.
