MRS. EMMER NUNN MIZE, 85, of Commerce, died last Tuesday, April 11, at her home following an extended illness.
Services were held Friday at Madison Street Baptist Church, where she was a member. Rev. Willis Moore and Rev. Gordon Hun officiated and interment followed in Grey Hill Cemetery.
A native of Banks County, Mrs. Mize was born on October 2, 1893, a daughter of the late Fate and Jane Sheridan Nunn. She was the wife of the late Jim D. Mize.
Surviving are 5 daughters, Jeannette Vaughn of Meriden CT, Mrs. Cleo Alexander of Jesup, MD, Clara Sloan, Carrie Anderson and Gladys Love, all of Commerce; a son, Hollis Mize of Marietta; 16 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
Little-Ward Funeral Directors were in charge.
