Mr. Brown owned a family Drug Store in Richland Texas, and as a child I was always mesmerized at the large ornate cabinets, leaded glass mirrors, and fancy apothecary bottles filled with different colored liquids. He later purchased the Johnson's Drug store at Corsicana. He served as police and fire commissioner, and held membership in many civic organizations, such as the Civitan, Rotary, and Salvation Army, as well as the Masonic Shriners and IOOF.
William Patrick Brown was my first cousin once removed.
