Barry was born September 29, 1945, in California, to the late Donald and Margaret Barnett.
He was a devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed fantasy sports, the Rolling Stones, HAAGEN-DAZS Ice Cream and movies. He was an avid movie collector and loved sharing them with his grandchildren, and introducing his family to the classic movies that he cherished so much.
Barry was a die-hard Dodgers fan. He watched any and all Baseball games from Little League to the Majors. He was a whiz at crossword puzzles and scrabble. He also loved spending time with his good friend of 16 years "Roxy."
Barry proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by his daughter, Casey Birckhead and her husband, Michael,of Louisa; and four grandchildren, Nicholas, Brooke, Ashton Donald, and Mikey Jr. (known as J.R. to his grandpa).
