Mrs. Vern M. (Lusetta) Evans, 76, of 3201 Ridgewood Ave., died early this morning at her home following a prolonged illness.
Funeral services will be announced by John Ducro & Son Funeral Home.
Mrs. Evans was born August 10, 1893, in Tipton, Ind., daughter of the late Noah and Sarah (Shockley) Bristow. She had lived in the Ashtabula area several years, with the past four years on Ridgewood Ave. and previously at 5415 Adams Ave.
Mrs. Evans was married in Frankfort, IN., December 24, 1908. The couple celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary this past year.
Her survivors include: her husband; four sons; David L. at home, Norman E., Ashtabula, Paul W., Fort Lauderdale, FL., and William M., Eastlake; a daughter, Mrs. B. G. (Esther) Kovach, Conneaut; two sisters, Mrs. George (Gladys) Bogan, Valparaiso, IN., and Mrs. Cary (Azorah) Daniels, Gary, IN., twin brothers, John and Daniel Bristow, Gary, and another brother, Seward Bristow, Tipton, IN., ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by three sisters.

Funeral services for Mrs. Vern (Lusetta) Evans will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the John Ducro & Son Funeral Home.
The Rev. Thomas W. Lorenz, Pastor of the Lake Avenue United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Edgewood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 Wednesday night.
