Mr. Madsen was born in Harpersville, Dec. 31, 1924, to Jacob and Rose Pempek Malyse and had lived in this area for most of his life. A Marine Corps veteran of World War II, he was employed by American Steel Foundries.
Mr. Madsen was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Saxon Club, Dante Society and Roma Society.
Surviving are his wife, Rose (Haiduk); three daughters, Debra Dorsey of Alliance, Darlene Madsen of Canton and Sandra Madsen of the home; a son, Craig of the home; three sisters, Hazel Dickens of Cleveland, Marie Brown of Louisville and Betty Nile of Alliance; two brothers, Frank Molisar of Idaho and James Brown of Florida; and three grandchildren.
