Mrs. Edna Tate of 508 North street died at 8:25 p.m. Thursday at Good Samaritan Hospital at the age of 56 years, one month and ten days.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Myers Chapel with the Rev. Ross partridge officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery.
The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel where friends may call after 6:00 p.m. today.
Mrs. Tate was born June 22, 1906 in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Frank and Eva (Talley) Bruce.
At Carlyle, in 1929 she was married to Roy Tate, who survives.
She is also survived by a daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Shelton of this city; three sisters, Mrs. Opal Ward and Mrs. Marion Dykes, both of this city, and Mrs. Jack Warner of Los Angeles, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Robert Eugene Tate.
Mrs. Tate was a member of the Central Church of Christ.
