Clifford "Kip" R. Fair, 82, of Beaver, formerly of New Brighton, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 1997, in the emergency Room of The Medical Center, Beaver. Born Dec. 21, 1914, in Butler, a son of the late Clifford R. and Iva Viola Davis Fair, he retired in 1977 after 42 1/4 years from the hot mill of Babcock and Wilcox Tubular Products, Beaver Falls. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, New Brighton; Union Lodge 662 F&AM, New Brighton; New Castle Consistory, Syria Shrine, Pittsburgh, Caravan 18 of Beaver County; Retired Men's Club of Beaver County, and Charlie's Angles. Surviving are his wife, whom he married June 13, 1936, Norma Jean Collar Fair, a daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Jack Kludo, Cranberry Township; a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. John C. and Claire Fair, Placentia, Calif.; five grandchildren, Mrs. Donald (Harri) Shidemantle, Harmony, Mrs. Ronald (Kelly) Lutz, Zelienople, Jack Kludo Jr., Cranberry Township, Mrs. James (Laura) Brodeske, Placentia, and Mrs. Shawn (Suzanne) Carlson, Lake Forest, Calif.; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Dr. John D. Fair, Evans City, and two sisters, Mrs. Stanley (Evelyn) Garvin, New Brighton, and Jane Fields, Chippewa Township. He was preceded in death by a brother Harold Fair, and two sisters, Vivian McGowan, and Dorothy Flaherty. Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave., New Brighton, where a service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with his pastor, the Rev. Mary Catherine Haldeman, Officiating. Private interment will follow. A service will be conducted today at 4 p.m. in the funeral home by the Retired Men's Club of Beaver County.
