Cassie Marie Barnett, 23, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2010, in Los Angeles, California.

Born Wednesday, June 3, 1987, in Fayette County, she was a daughter of Daniel Lee and Jane Noe Barnett.Cassie was a 2005 graduate of Lincoln County High School, a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority, an honor student at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, a member of American Society of Interior Designers Student Chapter, an Intern at Barclay Butera Interiors in Los Angeles and a member of Stanford Presbyterian Church.

Cassie is survived by her parents, Daniel and Jane N. Barnett of Stanford; her sister, Gentry Barnett of Lexington; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Noe of Stanford; and her paternal step-grandmother, Selma Conatser Barnett of Waynesburg.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, C.R. and Virginia Barnett.

Friends and family may gather for a Celebration of Life Service for Cassie at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010, at Buffalo Springs Cemetery. The Rev. Jim Erwin will officiate the service.

Robert Conatser, Russell Downey, Josh Hughes, Gatlin Greer, Phil Collins, Sean Lair, Jesse Hatter and Zach Kittinger have been asked to serve as honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made in honor of Cassie to the Eating Disorder Center of Denver, 950 South Cherry St., Suite 1010, Denver, CO 80246.

Fox Funeral Home has been entrusted with Cassie's funeral arrangements.
