Services for Joyce Daniel Brattain Lee, 73, of Lubbock were held at 10:00a.m. Wednesday October 4, 2000 in the Franklin-Bartley Chapel with Charles Carman and Bruce Parks officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home.
She died on Sunday, October 1, 2000, at her residence.
She was born on February 26, 1927, in Hamlin, Texas. She had been a resident of Lubbock for 41 years. She was married to Carl James Brattain for 32 years. He died in 1976. She married Jessie Melton Lee on Jan 1, 1986 in Arizona. She was a graduate of Seminole High School and she attended business School at South Plains College and Draughon's Business College. She worked as a secretary for the Lubbock Independent School District for 17 years. She had been a member of Morningside Baptist Church in Levelland until 1969. She was a member of Monterey Baptist Church and had attended St. Luke's United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Carl Walter of Lubbock and William Edward of Levelland; two daughters Phyllis Ione Brattain Hobbs of Altus, Okla; and Danna Gail Brattain Findley of Shallowater; 10 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three sisters, Ima Ewing of Lubbock; Inez West of Eagle Point, Ore., and Pat Helm of Danville, Calif.; and two brothers, Buddy Daniel of Sacremento,Calif., and Benny Daniel of Sun City, Ariz.
