But, Mom told me that Minnie's life had made her hard. Minnie as a young mother Lost her husband, and was left with two young sons and a daughter. Later when her house burned down, she got the kids out then ran back inside the house for her purse because it had $300.00 inside. When she came out of the house her hair was singed. The 300.00 was all she had after the fire.
Minnie lost her youngest son at age 20 in a car accident with a train. Minnie's daughter, died leaving two young kids Colin Eells and Connie Eells. I dont know the ages but they lived with Minnie for a time.
Minnie Lost My Grandfather when he was in his 40's. My Mom was bitter with Minnie for how she treated her father, and never forgave her even when Minnie was asking for my Mom on her death bed. In Minnie's Will she still zinged mom and her siblings, after describing her "grandkids" she stated she had 3 "other" grandkids by Harvel Leroy Crone.
