Memorial services for Rose Maye Parsons, 70, of Sheridan will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Church of the Living God with Janell and Alan Ziegler officiating. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home. Mrs. Parsons died Feb. 2, 2008, in her residence. She was born Dec. 13, 1937, in Monarch to John and Lillian (Eslick) Vine. She grew up and attended schools in Monarch. She married Virgil "Tubby" Badgett on Sept. 23, 1956, in Sheridan. She worked as a cook for Woolworth, the Palace Cafe, Skelly Truck Stop, and Trail's End Restaurant for many years. Mr. Badgett died in 1983. She married Cecil "Pee Wee" Parsons on Sept. 15, 1987, in Sheridan. She enjoyed collecting black-and-white cows, fishing, camping, playing bingo, watching TV game shows, and being with her children, grandchildren and her dog Scooby. In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Angel Showers, seven brothers, and two sisters. Survivors include her husband; a son, Kevin Badgett of Sheridan; four daughters, Rosie Sadler, Connie Deutsch, Sheila Badgett and Tami Badgett, all of Sheridan; a brother, Robert "Moose" Vine of Sheridan; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
