Raymond Althoff, 66, of Mantador, ND passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the Lisbon Hospital, in Lisbon, ND.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Mantador, ND, with Fr. Peter Anderl officiating and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Mantador with military honors by the Hankinson American Legion Eberhard Post #88 and the North Dakota National Guard. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the Frank Family Funeral Home in Hankinson, ND, and Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers are: Todd Althoff, David Althoff, Paul Althoff, Allen Ward, Ben Mauch, Nick Foertsch & Chris Westphal. Honorary pallbearer: Neil Goerger. Special music: Sts. Peter & Paul Choir.

Raymond Althoff was born September 25, 1943 to William and Della (Mertes) Althoff at Breckenridge, Minnesota. He grew up in Mantador where he attended elementary school, he then attended St. Francis Academy in Hankinson, ND. In 1968 he entered the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. Upon returning from the Army he worked many different jobs in the Mantador area. In July 2009 he entered the Veteran's Home in Lisbon, ND.

Ray was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Mantador and the Hankinson American Legion Eberhard Post #88 for 37 years.

He is survived by his mother: Della Althoff, St. Gerard's Nursing Home, Hankinson, ND; three brothers: Bill F. (LaVonne) Althoff, Hankinson, ND, Arnold (Charlene) Althoff, Hankinson, ND & Marvin (Sue) Althoff, West St. Paul, MN; two sisters: Janice (Wayne) Ward, Mooreton, ND & Karen Bowman, Fountain Hills, AZ and fifteen nieces & nephews.

Ray is preceded in death by his father: Bill Althoff and brother-in-law: John Bowman.
