Olivia Dupre Babin, 83, a native of Terrebonne Parish and former resident
of Houma, died at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 1999 in Lafayette.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time
Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the
funeral home, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Edwin (Shirley) Watkins of
Lafayette; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Joseph "Black" Babin;
her parents, Wallace Dupre and Ada Cunningham Duplantis; one brother, Renaud
Dupre; and three sisters, Eula D. Hebert, Rose Anita Hebert and Lois D.

She was a homemaker.
