He was born June 25, 1924 in a farmhouse outside Lone Oak, Texas to Oscar B. and Jewel Adair. He then enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and served his country proudly in WWII. After returning home he received his B.S. degree from East Texas State Teachers College in 1948, where he also was a member of the football team. After a few years with various oilfield service companies, Lee ventured out on his own to open his own oilfield service company, Adair Supply and Rentals Inc., which flourished for over 40 years until his retirement in 2002. In 1977 Lee bought a ranch in Dike, Texas and began raising Beefmaster Cattle. He became very active in Beefmaster Breeders Universal. Lee served on the Advertising and Public Relations Committee, the Nominating Committee, the Junior Beefmasters Committee and the Executive Search Committee. He was a director from 1986-1989.
