Funeral arrangements are incomplete for Kenneth Larry McAbee of Route 8, who was killed in an automobile accident on Dec. 26, 1974, at 11:25 p.m. The body will remain at Lyerly Funeral Home. Mr. McAbee was born on Monday, Feb. 20, 1950, in Cherryville, NC, and was the son of Thomas Jefferson "T. J." McAbee of ROute 3, and the late Mary Louise Moore McAbee. Educated in Cherryville, NC Schools, he was a sheet metal worker for Blast It All Company. He was a U. S. Army Veteran and attended the Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors included: his widow, the former Janice Owens; the paternal grandmother, Mrs. Lois McAvee of Spartanburg, SC; the maternal grandmother, Mrs. Lillian F. Moore of Route 1, Jonesville, SC. He died of a broken neck and severe head injuries in the automobile accident. A companion in the car, Frank Morgan, 29, of Spencer, NC, suffered multiple cuts.
