Mr. and Mrs. Nissen were both born in Germany. Mr. Nissen In 1851 and Mrs. Nissen April 21. 1854. They resided in this country almost 50 years. For a long time they lived on their farm near Diley, In Washington County. Here four children passed away, leaving the parents broken.
For some years they had lived In Portland. They are survived by three ch1ldren- John Nissen of Eagle CIlff, and Mrs. Charles Burchell and Miss Clara Nissen, of Corvallis.
