Bill, born July 25, 1917 in Golden, Colorado, died June 30, 2010 while surrounded by his loving family. He resided in Moraga for nineteen years.

His wife of fifty years, Thera, predeceased him in 1992. He is survived by his daughter Billie Cummings (Bruce) in Moraga, and granddaughter, Jenny.

In WWII, Bill flew over seventy missions in a B26 Marauder. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. He also served in Korea.

Bill painted for MGM Studios, then for thirty-five years with Eric Lundeen Coatings, in LA. Bill enjoyed traveling, fishing, crafts, and following the NASA space program.

A memorial will be held at Oakmont Cemetery in Lafayette on July 12, 2010 at 10:30 a.m.
