He was born Aug. 9, 1929, in Tuff, Texas.
He was a retired farm and ranch hand.
Survivors include a son, Arnold Alvarez; and seven daughters, Maria A. Alvarez, Rosalinda Torrez, Annie White, Pat Rodriguez, Dora Alvarez, Leticia Winzle and Isabel Alvarez.
Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Wheeler Mortuary Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Elida Cemetery
