Norway - Kenneth B. Bates Jr., 29, assistant manager with Wilbro Inc., died Wednesday in Orangeburg County. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today in Willow Swamp Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Dukes-Harley Funeral Home of Orangeburg, will be in Norway Cemetery. Mr. Bates was born in Orangeburg, a son of Kenneth B. Bates and Edna M. Stillinger Bates. He attended Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College and was a member of Norway Volunteer Fire Department. He was a past master with Norway Masonic Lodge and a member of Willow Swamp Church. Surviving are his parents of Norway; a son, K. B. 'Kent: Bates III of Bamberg; five sisters, Brenda Fanning, Debbie Durr and Cindy Williams, all of Norway, Patti Brown of Gaston and Kim Binnicker of Columbia; and his grandfather, Harvey M.
