Born in Trenton, Hikema was a lifelong resident. She attended the Trenton public school system. She was employed by the State of New Jersey, Department of Education in the finance division.
Hikema attended Mt. Zion AME Church as a child and was introduced to God by her beloved, Pop Pop and her dear late grandmother Velma.
Hikema is survived by her son, Ajamal Baldwin; father, Marvin Linton of Trenton; mother, Barbara George (Winston) Taylor of New Castle, Del.; sisters, Sakiyah Buchanan and Yolanda George, both of Trenton; brother, McKenzie George of New Castle, Del.; grandfather, Alonza D. (Liska) Linton of Ewing; and a host of caring uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services were held at Mt. Zion AME Church, 42 Pennington Ave., Trenton.
Interment in Ewing Cemetery in Ewing Township.
Arrangements are by Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.
