J'Nova Louise Choate, 78, peacefully passed away Thursday, July 8, 2010, after a long battle with ovarian cancer. Service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Blessing Funeral Home. Interment: Skyvue Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Blessing. Louise was born in Collinsville on Sept. 2, 1931, the daughter of James Fred Crocker and Bessie Lee Rawdon Crocker. She married Lloyd Kyle Choate on May 24, 1947, in Mansfield. She was a retired registered nurse. She led a long and fruitful life. Louise, known as "Big Mama," was active in her children's and grandchildren's lives and was a mother to many. She will be sorely missed here on earth but we thank Jesus for the peace she now enjoys in heaven. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Marc Choate; and two brothers, Charles Edwin Crocker and James Crocker. Survivors: Husband of 63 years, Lloyd Choate; children, Lloyd W. Choate and wife, Becky, Jim G. Choate and wife, Debi, and Debbie Colburn and husband, Brian; grandchildren, Lloyd W. Choate Jr. and wife, Jamie, Stacy Carmon and husband, Scott, John Choate and wife, Julie, Jay D. Choate, Jacqueline Choate, Erica Easterly and Cassidy Colburn; great-grandchild, Cameron Choate; and brothers, Sammy Crocker and Jerry Crocker.
