GALVESTON - Ankles C.L Allen, 59, departed this life on Wednesday, January 17, 2001, at his residence. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 22, 2000, at 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. Norris D. Burkley Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Houston National Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. followed by a wake from 7-8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 21st in the chapel of E.R. Johnson Family Mortuary.

Ankles was born in Anderson, Texas, on April 4, 1941, to Amos Jr. and Minnie Pratt Allen. He was a graduate of Central High School class of 1959 a retired laborer from MonBahto/Sterling Chemical and was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Rodrick Devonne Allen Jr. and his father.

He is survived by his wife, Celestine Allen; sons, Reginald Wayne Wiley and Rodrick Devonrie Allen Sr.; daughter, Yolanda Yvette Allen; grandchildren Dasdevonne Wayne Allen, Devpnna Allen, Regina Wiley and Annquia
Wiley; mother, Minnie Jackson; sisters, Betty Davis and Freddie Mae Phillips; mother in law, Ellen Wiley all of Galveston; host uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
