Funeral services will be held for Anderson Monday at 4 p.m. from Sherrod Avenue Church of Christ with John D. Cox, minister of the church, officiating. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service to lie in state.
Anderson was a native and lifelong resident of Lauderdale County. He was discharged from the U. S. Army in January of this year after three years service, and was employed by the R. C. Tapley Drilling Company.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Patrick, of Florence; three half brothers, J. B. Patrick, Jr.; and Carlos E. Patrick, Florence, Richard A. Patrick, U. S. Army, Korea; two sisters, Mrs. Rudolph Stripling, Cocoa, Fla., Miss Carolyn Patrick, Florence; the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Young, Florence and paternal grandparents, mr. and Mrs. C. D. Anderson, Florence, and other relatives.
Active bearers will be Charles Mansell, Joy Young, George Robert Tapley, Douglas Dowdy, Doyle Rogers, Berlin Rogers, Neal Williams. Honorary bearers will be Ben Hold, Grady R. Williams, J. E. Edmond, Douglas Balentine, H. L. Bobo, C. H. Weatherford, Dr. S. S. Roberts, Dr. George Cashman.
