David Archie Morgan, 86, died Tuesday afternoon at Riverside Nursing Home after an extended illness.
A native of Ware County, he was a retired farmer in the Millwood community. He was the son of the late Robert Morgan and Mary Alice Bennett Morgan.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Ada Bennett Morgan, Millwood; four daughters, Mrs. Allie Mae Joyner, Millwood, Mrs. Florence Clarke, Waresboro, Mrs. Josephine Sutton, Axson and Mrs. Clarice Dukes, Waresboro; six sons, Raymer Morgan, Bobby Morgan, Johnny Morgan, and Jerome Morgan, all of Waycross; Claude Morgan and the Rev. Fred Morgan, both of Millwood; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Lee and Mrs. Vida Corbitt, both of Waycross; 44 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Mount Green Church of God of Prophecy. Burial will be in Hargraves Cemetery.
The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock at Mincy-Fulford Funeral Home.
