He was buried in the Beaver (Highland) Cemetery in Noblesville, Indiana. Great grandson John T. Beaver copied the tombstone epitaph on 7 July 1973 when he and his wife cleared brush at Highland Cemetery, near Fischers, Indiana. The elements have since weathered the stone and it can no longer be read.
