Beulah Bell Smith Heindl Coleman

She was the first daughter of William (Bill) Franklin Smith and Josephine (Josie) M. Suiter Smith, and the second born of their eight children in Menifee County, KY.

Paternal grandparents are John J. Smith and Elizabeth Fields Keith Smith; maternal grandparents are Paris Jefferson "Jeff" Suiter and Arrabelle "Belle" Roberts Suiter Webb, all of Frenchburg, Menifee County, Ky.

She married John Wm. Heindl on July 12, 1930, in Richmond, Indiana. They were blessed with seven children, Phyllis Jean, Betty JoAnn, Janet Louise, William, Robert Earl, Lynda Sue and Ronald Lee Heindl.

A son, William, was stillborn in 1935. On Feb. 26, 1943 while living in New Lebanon, Ohio, they lost four children, Phyllis, Joann, Janet and Bobby, in a house fire. A friend and babysitter from Frenchburg, Ky. also died in the fire.

Mom and Dad divorced in 1957, Mom and Ronnie moved to Holly Hill Florida in the summer of 1958.

On Dec. 19, 1958 Mom lost her last surviving son, Ronald Lee Heindl, on his 14th birthday when he was hit and killed by a motorist on Eleventh St. in Holly Hill. He and three friends were walking to a Friday Night Teen Dance in Holly Hill because Mom had a flat tire and couldn't take them.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynda and husband Robert K. Wise; and three grandchildren, Robin, Cindy and Dawn.

*My brothers and sisters are buried in Bear Creek Cemetery, Trotwood, Ohio.

"Mothers never really die, they just keep the house up in the sky. They polish the sun by day and light the stars that shine at night, keep the moonbeams silvery bright; and in the heavenly home above, they wait to welcome those they love."
