BUDDEMEYER, BENJAMIN W., of Eureka, June 12, 2002; beloved husband of the late Kathleen L. Buddemeyer (nee Murray); loving father of Jane (Charles) Sauerwein of Brimfield, IL, Johnel (Don) O'Connor of Edisto Island, SC, and the late Robert Joe Buddemeyer; brother of the late Elmer Buddemeyer, Art Buddemeyer and Flora Wacker; grandfather of Eden (Lisa) Buddemeyer, Roman Buddemeyer, Kay (Jon) Harwood, Cindy Mahieu, Dan O'Connor, Jerry O'Connor, Kelley (Cobus) Steyl and the late Walter Sauerwein; he is also survived by seven great-grandchildren. Born, raised and educated in Owensville, Ben received his undergraduate degree from Warrensburg State Teachers' College and went on to earn a Master of Education degree from Missouri University. He married Kathleen in 1934 and settled in Eureka in 1940. Ben was employed as a Physics, Math and General Science teacher at Eureka High School until his 1970 retirement. He was a member of the Eureka United Methodist Church and his college alumni associations. He had enjoyed coaching basketball in his younger days. His funeral will be held Saturday, 12 noon at the CUNNINGHAM -MILLARD-CANTRIEL Funeral Home, 108 N. Central Ave., Eureka. Visitation will precede the service at 10 a.m. Interment Owensville City Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc. or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
